Job description: Bilingual Accounts Receivable (A/R) professionals will find a great opportunity in this growing company’s dynamic team. You will succeed in this position if you can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, as well as being fluently bilingual in English and French. This Bilingual Accounts Receivable Clerk role, based in the Ottawa, Ontario region, is a full-time position. (This position will remain remote until further notice.)
Your responsibilities
– Enter and balance financial data in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts
– Handle a range of basic accounting tasks using standard procedures
– Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values, and culture of the organization
– Respond to requests for information from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department, and other stakeholders
– Verify documents and codes
– Handle payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
– Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed
Requirements
– Bilingual (French/English) mandatory
– Observant, accurate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
– Knowledgeable of ERP systems
– 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
– AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
– Consumer collections experience
– Comprehensive knowledge of Enter Invoices
– Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
