This incumbent is the senior information technology manager on property who is responsible for all local IT decisions. The position is responsible for the overall operation of the Information Technology and Telecommunications systems infrastructure at the Hotel, including maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting all systems and the technical infrastructure (Hotel & Guest Networks). Duties include the implementation and support of all IT systems, ensuring that all applications, security policies, routers, switches and servers are functioning properly and are up-to-date. Responsible for providing service to all hotel guests by meeting or exceeding Loews Hotels Standards; training all management and staff with computer and internet access; enforcing the Electronic Media policy.
The IT Manager helps in planning and supporting the Hotel’s information processing needs, and evaluates, develops, coordinates, and implements all new technology systems.
Job Specific
- Coordinates and oversees all technology upgrades and installations. Responsible for being a part of the decision making regarding the selection and timing of upgrades.
- Maintains all hardware and monitor usage and backups. Rebuild systems as needed.
- Lead all local teams and is the senior person on property for all IT and telecom related issues.
- Coordinates all service contracts and calls to outside vendors.
- Recommends hardware, PC and peripheral purchases by Hotel (approximately $50,000 annually). Places all orders, receives all products and coordinates installation of product.
- Responsible for the hiring and management of Technology Assistant.
- Manages guest PMS system and guest internet systems.
- Maintains procedures designed to ensure that data back-up and emergency recovery operations are in place to protect data from loss or damage in the event of a system failure or an emergency situation.
- Maintains relationships and contacts with vendors. Keep Service Level Agreement list up to date.
- Keeps current on changes, up-dates and enhancements. Evaluates and defines Hotel and user requirements. Maintains up to date user list and ensures new user request forms are filled out correctly.
- Ensures compliance with all Loews Corporate and legal requirements relating to software licensing agreements.
- Assists with prioritizing user department workflow, recommending procedural changes where indicated.
- Maintains training programs to increase user knowledge of systems, use of systems and to ensure a high degree of computer proficiency among end users.
- Administers and enforces all Loews Hotel policies as they relate to the IT department.
- Attends hotel operations meetings, pre-con meetings, and other hotel meetings as necessary.
- Any other projects or responsibilities as assigned by hotel management.
General
- Effective management leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Able to be on-call 24 hours a day and must be able to connect to hotel system from home to troubleshoot system as needed.
- Able to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications
- Overall knowledge of software and hardware to include: Servers, Routers, Switches, PBX, PC’s and all peripheral devices across a multitude of Operating Systems.
- Management and Operation of; PMS, POS, PBX/Voice mail/Call accounting, Human Resource information, Payroll, Accounting, Purchasing and Inventory control, Energy Management, Catering & Sales, HSIA, Ticketing and Admission, Office Administration, and Network operating systems.
- Knowledge of network architecture and system design.
- System Administrator experience in a large, fast paced Hotel/Hospitality environment.
- Certification or equivalent experience as one or more of the following: Certified Network Engineer, Microsoft Certified Network Engineer, Certified Hospitality Technology Professional.
