Job Description

Broadridge is growing! We are actively seeking an Application Support Specialist to work at our Deer Park facility. The Applications Support Analyst will implement new functionality and processes for all Print & Production Systems in both Edgewood 1 Edgewood 2. This includes partnering with outside vendors, Broadridge IT, and Operations teams to convert databases, implement software, and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Additionally, you are responsible for identifying and coordinating the implementation of hardware and software solutions to meet production requirements to drive continuous process improvements within Print & Production.

In this role, you will partner with the team to meet the company’s efficiency standards and requirements. You will perform preventive maintenance, ongoing service, and emergency repairs on equipment on the auto insertion floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Print and Production teams to troubleshoot and correct any processing issues with IPM, IPW, and RPD and other print software systems as needed.
  • Develop database solutions in SQL to support Production Operations.
  • Convert databases from MS Access to SQL.
  • Work closely with the Output Services teams to submit the required tracking tickets for both the Server and Database teams for all installs in both the QA and Production environments.
  • Support new client applications by working with the Business Units to develop and execute detailed implementation plans to ensure we can effectively print jobs on various platforms across locations.
  • Support the planning and management of various print/production technology projects in accordance with Operations strategic objectives. This includes updating project plans, providing senior management with status updates, and ensuring key objectives/achievements are accomplished.
  • Provide remote support when necessary for both new installations and production issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Access experience
  • SQL and SQL Server experience
  • .NET Experience
  • Prior experience supporting a production operations or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must have a strong technical knowledge of various software applications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Communicate effectively with staff and management at multiple levels.
  • Strong PC skills including knowledge of Excel, Word, Project, and Visio.
  • Strong technical skills. Demonstrable ability with changing technologies and implement unique solutions to difficult document development/printing challenges.
  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrate strong initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts, overtime and weekends as required.

Expected salary: $47800 – 78400 per year
