What you will do
As an Application Analyst/Developer you will function in a multi-faceted role, including business system analysis and enterprise application configuration. You will also provide programming expertise in the area of data transformation, data flow, and data payload.

You will be a member of one of the Bank’s Scrum teams within the Collateral Management Application Services Division and will participate in the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of a new Collateral Management System − a web-based Java application with an Oracle database. As a scrum team member, you also contribute to all efforts necessary to complete the team’s tasks.

In addition, you will:

  • be responsible for the technical administration of the application (COTS solution)
  • configure, program, review, test and showcase new features or new configurations to ensure that deployments meet client requirements
  • manage and configure the solution’s message broker engine
  • understand the functional and technical aspects of the application, including integration services, data flow diagrams, data contracts
  • manage interactions and communications with other dependent solutions (Findur, MDM, HABS, SBMS) plus Data Power, and EAI
  • provide tier 2 application support, identify remediation actions, and manage the implementation of improvements

What you need to succeed
As a member of the Scrum team, you are self-motivated, can work in a fast-paced environment and have:

  • experience with:
  • web development technologies, preferably with Java
  • Message Brokers and message protocols such as XML.
  • performing tasks typically associated with those of a Business System Analyst with a keen business sense
  • collaborating with Business Product Owners and Technical Product Owners
  • COTS application configuration, integration, and product upgrade
  • in finance or trading application
  • working knowledge of:
  • data analysis, datasets, ETL, and workflow automation
  • relational databases and SQL, preferably with Oracle

Nice-to-have

  • experience with
  • MEGARA application by VERMEG
  • private or public cloud environment
  • contributing and supporting Agile transformation
  • understanding of DevOps principles and practices

Your education and experience
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • You will work remotely from any location within Canada while the Bank operates under mandatory telework. Flexibility for remote work for the duration of the term may be granted.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $80,300 to $94,400 (job grade 16)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (5 to 7% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (10% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
