Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-Time Analyst-Supply Chain to join our dynamic Integrated Supply Chain Business Systems and Analytics team, division. In this role you will be responsible for delivering insightful management information by using data analysis, key performance indicators, internal and external benchmark data, and data visualization that helps CBS leaders make strategic and informed decisions about supply chain and donor relations operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Analysis and Reporting

  • Develop and deliver analysis of Supply Chain key performance indicators, operational metrics, and other critical business measures.
  • Gather, integrate, analyse, and validate data using statistical modelling
  • Interpret results of supply chain analytics to generate business insights
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain standard reporting and user-friendly dashboards servicing the integrated supply chain and broader organization, to assist with operations management and support strategic decisions, with focus on production and distribution, enabling decision makers to act confidently in choice of initiatives and projects
  • Be the primary subject matter expert in analytics and support related to supply chain process management and end-to-end manufacturing, interfacing with multiple stakeholder groups including but not limited to Planning, Process Management, Supply Chain (Production, Testing, Distribution), Donor Relations & Collections, Continuous Improvement
  • Support stakeholders with analysis and interpretation; understand and influence the level of granularity required by the audience and ensure the data is useful for that audience

Data Governance and Reporting Management

  • Work with IT and data stakeholders to resolve challenges relating to availability of key Supply Chain data required for analysis and reporting
  • Reconcile data and reports from multiple systems and other departments to confirm excellence in data integrity and consistency across Canadian Blood Services
  • Steward and support data governance and data quality review and remediation efforts; proactively identify gaps and offer solutions to close them
  • Develop procedures, operating instructions and/or job aids for all reporting processes and applications
  • Support planned system, dashboard, or reporting upgrades with business analysis and user acceptance testing as appropriate

Strategic Initiative Support

  • Provide input to integrated supply chain and enterprise strategic initiatives of moderate to high complexity
  • Analyse portfolio performance measures based in the Key Focus Areas defined by the corporate and Supply Chain Strategy Plans and portfolio management and other project governance stakeholders
  • Represent the integrated supply chain on cross-functional initiative teams
  • Lead and/or support potential benefit and/or success measure definition and development for projects and their delivery

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably a university degree in business, mathematics, analytics or computer science
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data/information management and statistical analysis
  • Extensive knowledge of database management, data architecture, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, web-based technology
  • Experience with SAP BIW, Microsoft Azure or equivalent
  • APICS/CPIM an asset

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making ability
  • Strong business analysis and knowledge application
  • Apply supply chain concepts, analytic frameworks, methods and tools in decision-making
  • Evaluate ethical considerations in handling and analysing supply chain data.
  • Interpret and translate detailed data into relevant information
