Job description: Agile Business Analyst for Provincial Government Agency, to lead and facilitate sessions with business units to gather functional and non functional business requirements and document use cases, business rules, scenarios, data rules and flows.

Job Type: Temporary, initial term ASAP to August 31, 2021, with possibility of extension.
Standard hours: 7.25 hours per day, not including a 45 minute unpaid lunch, during standard business hours, Monday to Friday (36.25 hour week).
Work location:
Currently remote, but will be onsite full time at client’s office, as soon as lockdown restrictions lifted. Location is in East GTA, near 401, and with free parking provided. Office is in a secure building with robust social distancing protocols in place.
Compensation: $40-$65/hr according to seniority of experience.
Responsibilities Summary:
- Analyze and validate clients’ functional and non functional business requirements, to translate into documents and conceptual designs for changes or enhancements to business processes, data and information systems.
- Create, refine and maintain user stories and associated deliverables such as process flows and test cases to meet development and stakeholder needs.
- Write clear, concise and technically sound user stories with expected outcomes and acceptance criteria that are ready for development.
- Develop solution designs that document the desired outcome of the system enhancement/development.
- Provide support to third party project vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in business analysis, functional specification documentation and application testing
- 2+ years’ hands-on experience as a business analyst on agile based projects.
- Strong knowledge of project and software development methodologies, with demonstrated experience or certification in Agile, Scrum or Hybrid IT delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of business analysis process design to provide expertise and proposals to meet clients’ diverse business needs.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft Power Apps, Data Visualization applications, GIS and Mapping/Addressing applications, cloud applications and technologies.
- Demonstrated use case creation and documentation, requirements storyboarding and creation of testable requirements and test cases.
- Proven ability to deliver under tight timelines, reconcile ambiguous requirements, and work with incomplete reference documentation.
- Excellent client relationship and interpersonal skills, with a high level of comfort performing product demos to various stakeholders.
- Ability to commute daily to client’s onsite location.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to extend availability for this project as required for at least 12 months.
- Availability for a virtual interview the week of May 24th and immediate availability to start.
- Satisfactory CPIC criminal background check and employment references.
