Job title: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job description: Robert Half is searching for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk eager to contribute their skill set to the rapid growth of a dynamic company. In this position, you will enter, post, and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain a cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This Accounts Receivable Clerk role is based in the East end of the Ottawa, Ontario region.

– Handle a range of basic accounting tasks using standard procedures
– Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers
– Communicate with clients to settle payment issues and help create a payment plan
– Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department, and other stakeholders
– Process payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports
– Confirm documents and codes are correct
– 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
– Proficient in ERP systems
– AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
– Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
– Simply Accounting experience preferred
– Strong familiarity with Sage 50
– Microsoft Excel experience
