Are you an experienced Accountant looking for a remote position with a company that is empowered to make meaningful impact? Do you have a collaborative workstyle but are also confident working independently? If this sounds like you, then keep on reading!
As the Accounting Specialist, you would be managing the accounting functions of the business as a part of a dynamic team that is helping the world transition to renewable energy. If this is exciting to you and you have strong, relevant experience, this will be a great fit for you.
This is a 20-month contract position, starting in August. This is currently a fully remote role, with the possibility of becoming a hybrid position in the future.
Responsibilities;
- Manages accounting functions including full-cycle AP, sales quotes/orders and invoicing, credit card reconciliations, and employee expense reports
- Assists with purchasing/receiving to ensure all orders and invoices are recorded in the inventory and accounting system
- Prepare regular payment runs and ad-hoc payments
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions
What You Bring:
- 5 years bookkeeping, accounting or accounts payable experience
- Excellent communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Prioritization abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Accounting software experience (DEAR Inventory, Zero or ERP an asset)
