Job title: Accounting Coordinator

Job description: This thriving company is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to grow with them. This dynamic organization with a noteworthy benefits package has a position available through Robert Half Finance and Accounting. This full-time opportunity for an Accounting Coordinator is located just East of Casselman, Ontario area. This role’s duties will require entering, posting and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging reports, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, and updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L.

– Handle a range of basic accounting tasks using standard procedures
– Ensure accuracy of documents and codes
– Process payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
– Communicate with clients to settle payment issues and help create a payment plan
– Respond to requests for information from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
– Ensure the mission, values, and culture of the organization are supported, conveyed and reinforced
– Reconcile bank accounts, recording and balancing financial information in a variety of ledgers
Requirements
– Current and relevant ERP system experience
– AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
– Cash applications experience preferred
– Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
– Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
– 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
– Be detailed, flexible, and organized
