Job description: Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently recruiting for an Accounting Clerk position. As the Accounting Clerk, you will match invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assist in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). The Accounting Clerk position is a full-time opportunity and is situated in the Ottawa, Ontario, area.
Your responsibilities in this role
– Accurately code documents
– Filing vendor invoices and disbursements and matching – Create statements and reports
– Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with the collection of past due balance
– Post financial information to journals and ledgers
– Assist with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing
– Reconcile discrepancies, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts
– Prepare correction documents as needed
– Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field
– Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
– Automotive experience is a mandatory
– Deal Posting is mandatory
– Command of Accounts Receivable (AR) – Month-end closings experience desired
– 3+ years of accounting experience required
