Do you have experience with installing, repairing and maintaining medical and pharmaceutical production equipment? Are you a self-starter who is organized and able to work with minimum supervision? If your answer is yes then we are looking for you. We are currently looking for a Pharmaceutical Equipment Technician for our client in Northern Mississauga on a 2-3 month contract with potential for further extension (fairly likely) or consideration for permanency, depending on your performance and business needs. If you have experience with working around medical equipment or a diploma / degree in related discipline this is an amazing opportunity to be a part of renowned brand in Pharmaceutical industry and kick start your career.
PLEASE NOTE: The ideal shift is a 13 hour shift, every other day, on a rotational basis, Monday toSunday. The great news: you only work 3 days a week but work 39 full time hours! Must be open to working shifts within 6 am to 9 pm Including Weekend and holidays if required. If you

RESPONSIBILITIES
What YOU will be doing as a Pharmacy Assistant:
- Support pharmacy/drug production and packaging in a sterile pharmacy production environment
- Receive biomedical materials, put them through VHP sterilization machine to prepare for drug compounding
- Labeling, visually inspecting, packaging batches of medication and verifying packaging on medication in a highly diligent manner
- Work closely with pharmacists on-site to discharge it to the appropriate third party client
- Please note: You’ll be lifting packages of up to 50 pounds as part of the process, and will be on your feet for a large portion of time.
QUALIFICATIONS
As a Pharmaceutical Equipment Technician you will be:
– Performing pole cleaning, bag laundering, pump disinfection and testing of medical equipment and accessories
– Performing equipment and inventory cleaning and inspections by conducting tests in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and work instructions.
– You can read and understand technical manuals for equipment operations and maintenances
– The ability to be sensitive to patient circumstances, investigative skills to resolve distribution oddities, and the ability to provide clear communication
– Maintaining Pharmaceutical equipment and supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs
– Good organizational skills required with the ability to work within a team as well as independently
– Strong Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
– Able to work your way in a fast paced environment with prioritizing and organizing your work
– Learn fast and keep a positive approach
– Reliable and Quick learner
SUMMARY

– Preferred post-secondary education in Pharmaceutical engineering technology or related
