Job description
Performs various duties in the Laundry including folding, spreading sheets, operating tumblers, feeding sheets, filling carts, sorting, and running washers.
Shift times:
2:00 PM-10:00PM rotating weekends
6:00AM-2:00PM rotating weekends
Major Responsibilities:
- Performs various duties in laundry including folding, spreading sheets, feeding sheets, filling linen carts, delivers linen to floors.
- Will keep equipment and laundry area clean.
- Will follow all clean linen procedures including drying, ironing, folding and storing all laundry in linen closets and designated areas by designated persons.
- Any additional duties delegated from the Managers/Supervisors/Sr. Tech
- Will support Environmental Services as delegated
Exposed to sharps, hazardous chemicals, hot temperatures, and dust.
Requires repetitive motion regarding heavy lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing. Walking and standing throughout the workday.
Education / Qualification:
High School or equivalent
Previous experience working in a commercial laundry, hotel, healthcare setting .
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
Immunization requirements:
- MMR documentation
- Covid
- Varicella documentation
- Hep B documentation
- Flu vaccine
- TB documentation
- Physical within the last year
