Job title: Technical Analyst

Job description: WSP, an award‑winning and innovative multi‑disciplinary engineering consulting firm, is looking for a Technical Analyst within the Innovation Advisory group for our New York office. WSP works closely with building owners, tenants, and developers from around the world on large, complex projects with a focus on user experience, operational efficiency, and sustainability in the built environment.
About the Job
Our team works on high quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from assessment and strategy phase through the implementation and ongoing operations. Your role will include synthesis of various stakeholder needs into a clear vision, research into current and future technology platforms, development of presentation materials and reports, graphical storytelling, and data analytics.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyze client challenges at the intersection of business and technology
- Support Client stakeholder engagement, including ideation workshops, stakeholder value identification, brand alignment, and identification of c-suite agenda
- Develop user journey and touch point maps, including creation of graphical deliverables to communicate these journeys to client stakeholder groups.
- Leverage data analytics and business intelligence reporting to support strategy development
- Research and validate technical capabilities of potential technology platforms (facility control system integration, building analytic platforms, energy consumption and sustainability reporting tools, computational modeling etc.) applicable for client projects.
- Coordinate technical design solutions with client stakeholders, design teams, vendors.
Participation in development of deliverables for Innovation Advisory projects including:
- Synthesis of stakeholder needs
- Evaluation of client key performance indicators and metrics
- Product research
- Strategic solutions and implementation road maps
- System technical requirements to support implementation.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor”s degree in business, Architecture, Planning, Design, Social Science or another relevant field plus one (1) year related experience.
- Previous experience within the building design field is preferred.
- Data analytics, visualization (PowerBI, Tableau), and presentation (Powerpoint) software skills are required
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative software applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP”s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP”s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
- Travel is required for this position, up to 25%.
