Job description: IT Auditor for Finance Department of Municipal Government Client.
Marberg Job Number: 1246.
Job Type: Temporary, initial term 5.5 months with possibility of extension.
Experience Level Required: Intermediate to Senior.
Compensation: $49/hr – $60/hr, according to experience.
Recommended Application Date: ASAP.
Work Hours: Regular Business Hours, 35.0 hours per week.
Work Location: Primarily remote; may be required to attend onsite at Client’s East GTA based office occasionally.
Ergonomic Requirements: Regular Desk Duties.
Responsibilities Summary:
- Plan and conduct complex audit projects including IT, Value for Money (VFM), and compliance.
- Liaise with clients to provide advice and recommendations regarding functioning and adequacy of the organization’s information systems and technology.
- Provide consulting and technical expertise on systems development projects to ensure planned systems are cost beneficial, meet user needs, and are developed and documented according to established standards.
- Prepare formal reports and presentations and deliver to senior management.
- Additional IT Audit responsibilities and functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary Degree in relevant discipline.
- CPA, CIA or CISA Designation.
- 5+ years IT audit or internal audit experience, public sector experience preferred.
- Knowledge of current and emerging technology to support a variety of technology audits, e.g. new systems under development; information security; emerging technology; ecommerce; telecommunications and networks; computer operations and existing applications.
- Experience in risk management and internal controls.
- Experience evaluating Information Technology General Controls (ITGC)
- Knowledge of COBIT 2019 and ITIL 4.
- Proven ability to respond to sensitive matters with tact, discretion, and excellent judgement. Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional representation of the organization.
- Advanced organizational, coordinative and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work effectively for self and others, meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively as part of a team and liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated successful experience of prioritizing work, making decisions and communicating with others within a values framework of respect, equity, diversity and inclusivity.
- Ability to work both Remotely and Onsite as required.
- Satisfactory CPIC Criminal Background Check, Education Verification and Employment References.
