About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-Time Analyst – SAP Business Systems III – Finance to join our dynamic Information Technology (IT) team. In this role, will be responsible for the respective functional areas, FI (Finance) CO (Controlling), ensuring appropriate levels of integration and information sharing between the team members in IT. Also, responsible for supporting the use of SAP and its’ various platforms at Canadian Blood Services. This includes supporting SAP end users, using SAP information to conduct analysis, resolving end user issues, modifying existing SAP functionality and adding new capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzes SAP end-user requests, identifies potential solution(s) and completes/directs resolution
- Provides resolution for unexpected transaction results, SAP master data and reporting issues
- Works with the SAP Enterprise Technical team members for resolution of technical issues (background jobs, error messages)
- Assess effort for incoming requests for enhancement work or investigation and updates in Jira
- Shares knowledge regarding the design and use of SAP and supporting processes
- Works with clients to gather and define requirements for new functionality and conduct demos of enhancements
- Writes functional specification and/or mockup to work with ABAP developer where required
- Implement system changes in the SAP Finance & Controlling modules
- Develops documentation for system changes and new functionality as per requirements (includes IMG documentation, quick reference material, security role changes, to-be process, rollout steps)
- Develops knowledge transfer material for SAP end-users as required
- Develops test plans, executes existing scripts and documents test results
- Ensures that regulated systems and documentation meet regulatory compliance standards
- Executes acceptance tasks for SAP system refreshes
- Participates in testing for SAP Gui and workstation lab testing
- Supports the automated invoice processing system (Kofax)
- Log issues with SAP Global Support, Kofax or other third-party vendors
- Conduct system testing for their functional area for SAP Support Packs
Education, Training and Experience:
- Post-secondary level education in a discipline relevant to the functional area being supported from a recognized academic institution, preferably with certification in an appropriate area (e.g. CMA, CGA, CHRP, CPP, CPA) or equivalent experience
- At least 4 years’ experience in the functional area to be supported – Finance & Accounting
- At least 5 years’ IT experience supporting SAP Finance module including configuration in an SAP ECC Enhancement Pack 7 environment or greater
- Other related business or IT experience would be an asset
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to conduct business professionally and develop strong working relationships with clients and team members
- Strong configuration experience in designated functional area of expertise
- Excellent problem analysis, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot SAP points of integration including interfaces to third party systems and other SAP modules (example: SAP Materials Management)
- Experience using Office 365
- May be required to work occasional evenings or weekends (for cutover activities, deployment of SAP configuration changes or upgrades)
