Job Description
CPP Investments is recruiting for a full time Information Security Analyst role within our Global Information Security team.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join CPP Investments’ Global Security Operations Centre (SOC). The Analyst/Senior Analyst position supports CPP Investments’ security operations capabilities, including monitoring security events, responding to security incidents and performing cyber threat intelligence (CTI) related tasks.
You are great at:
- Owning and managing security incident response tickets from start to finish
- Documenting and maintaining processes to support CPPIB’s SOC and incident response capabilities
- Performing security event monitoring, analysis and incident response
- Determining and classifying the severity of security alerts and assessing the potential impact
- Effectively communicating, managing and escalating issues
- Collecting SOC performance metrics to help demonstrate the value of security operations to other IT teams and business units
- Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Capable of handling a challenging, real-time environment with well-rounded troubleshooting skills and the ability to leverage problem solving skills to resolve issues
- Striving for operational excellence
- Keeping up with technology and business trends through participation in professional associations and self-directed learning
Qualifications
If you possess the following, we’d like to hear from you:
- Post-secondary education in computer science / information technology
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an information security role with at least 5 years of cumulative IT experience
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, DLP, and other security technologies.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-based environment
- Subject matter expertise in security operations, incident response and/or cyber threat intelligence (CTI)
- Strong technical capabilities in the areas of firewalls, anti-virus, content filtering, SIEM, threat intelligence, security orchestration and automation, vulnerability management and cloud security
- Possess or are working towards certification from a well-recognized organization (e.g. ISC2, SANS, ISACA)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, work well under pressure
