What you will do
You will be a member of one of the Bank’s Scrum teams within the Collateral Management Application Services Division and will participate in the implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and production support of a new COTS Collateral Management System − a web-based Java application with an Oracle database.

You will also collaborate with the Scrum Team to understand and question the implementation of features to better handle various scenarios and will develop acceptance criteria and test cases (automated or otherwise) for the product meanwhile being capable to create and contribute to mechanisms that will enable easy testing of all application functions.

What you need to succeed
You are an effective communicator, self-starter, team player with an affinity for continued learning and you foster a culture of continuous improvement. Working in an Agile and rapidly changing environments, you think in innovative ways to find solutions to complex problems and collaborate with peers to modify workplans and priorities.

In addition, you have experience in testing API’s, web and third-party applications and their integration with other systems as well as using exploratory testing techniques. You also have experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and having knowledge in QA methods and best practices.

Nice-to-have
You have experience in or with:

  • Cypress
  • using source-control software to manage group software projects;
  • building deployment software to manage test execution;
  • developing and maintaining performance test scripts;
  • analyzing customer needs and converting them to User Stories;
  • modelling business processes.

Your education and experience
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with a team to validate the functionality of applications by producing (and executing) test cases (manual or otherwise) based on requirements, functional specifications, or User Stories. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • You will work remotely from any location within Canada while the Bank operates under mandatory telework. Flexibility for remote work for the duration of the term may be granted.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $80,300 to $94,400 (job grade 16)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (5 to 7% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (10% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
