Manpower is hiring for one of its leading banking client’s to join the team as Financial Analyst in Toronto.

What’s in it for you?

  • Contract Length – 6 months ( Extension / Conversion Possible)
  • Pay Rate: $28.9 per hour
  • Work Locations: Toronto ( Currently Remote )
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm

What is the job?

  • Write the “client story” to show we know a client with respect to money laundering risk factors including why they wish to deal with a client and why their proposed use of products/services is reasonable
  • Conduct analysis, in as much detail as needed, of customer anticipated/observed transactional amounts, financial information, and client static (e.g. industry) information for reasonability to help build the customer story and ensure that the financials and use of products is consistent with the customer story (i.e. ensure their activity coincides with their client profile and is within established prescribed processes/guidelines set by the AML leadership team relating to Customers and Associated Persons and / or Entities, reviewing exceptions with LOBs and escalating as appropriate)
  • Coordinate and facilitate the KYC approval process across Capital Markets; providing a centralized point of contact and data collection for the Line of Business
  • Shepherd client files through the Governance, LOB, and executive management approval processes to ensure that approval decisions are received on a timely basis and properly recorded.
  • Ensure impacted stakeholders understand the AML compliance and risk management requirements and impacts to their businesses
  • Coordinate with KYC Analysts to ensure elements of customer profile are understood and accurately communicated
  • Provide weekly/monthly reporting and analysis to relevant stakeholders to track progress and improve time to completion of review process

Must have Skills:

  • An undergraduate degree. Focal areas of Finance, International Business, Operations, Business Law
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry in Credit or Financial Analysis, Operations, Trading Support or Sales role
  • Strong understanding of trading products and Investment and Corporate Banking across Capital Markets
  • Experience working in a middle office function of capital markets would be an asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable bank systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & SharePoint)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Solid level of relationship management, interpersonal skills, and the ability to leverage these relationships strategically and ethically in a demanding environment
  • Ability to review, analyze and provide detailed information of the customer background
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities and to proactively service multiple internal clients in a fast-paced environment
