Job description: Minimum Qualifications This position is open to candidates who are reachable on the Information Technology Specialist 3, G-23, Civil Service eligible list OR have one year of permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 3, G-23. As well as those deemed eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second, consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two grades. In order to qualify for a Section 52.6 transfer, candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service in a qualifying administrative title such as Information Technology Specialist 3 (Data Communications), G-23, Information Technology Specialist 3 (Database), G-23, or Information Technology Specialist 3 (Systems Programming), G-23.

Duties Description The Batch Bureau, part of the Operations Division, is responsible for management and oversight of automated batch processing, code migrations, and interfaces for the Statewide Financial System (SFS). The Batch Bureau Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring the SFS batch schedule, performing manual workarounds in the system in response to processing failures and troubleshooting user issues. Additional duties include oversight of the code migration process and providing support during business calendar events at SFS.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Batch schedule administration, maintenance and support, including on-call.
  • Code migrations to resolve system issues and introduce new functionality.
  • Coordinate interface maintenance with service providers and external interface owners to ensure accurate and timely Statewide Financial System operation.
  • Incident management and response.
  • Supervision of Batch Operations staff .
  • Ad hoc project responsibilities.
