Nature of work:
Reporting to the Director, Creativity and Entrepreneurship.
Responsibilities/accountabilities:
The Program Coordinator will:
- Operate and grow existing programs in the Brilliant Catalyst
- Help to develop and trouble-shoot existing program performance and delivery
- Coordinate technology based projects including software, application and/or web development projects.
- Assist with the design and implementation of new partnerships (external and internal) and programs initiated by the Director, Brilliant Catalyst
- Implement and operate selected other Brilliant programs, initiatives, events and services including applications, consents and related paperwork,
- Create and maintain relationships with members of the entrepreneurship ecosystem to support program delivery
- Supervise students, consultants as appropriate
- Act as liaison and advisor to relevant on-campus student organizations (e.g. Enactus)
- Coordinate formal (e.g. newsletter, social media) communications with students and other constituencies as may be determined from time to time including event announcements, relevant competitions and grant opportunities.
- Participate as mentor and advisor, in the day to day operation of the Brilliant Incubator and Brilliant programs and workshops, in collaboration with members of the Brilliant mentor network.
- Represent Brilliant Catalyst at various external and internal events
- Work collaboratively with the Manager, Brilliant Catalyst and internal Ontario Tech staff on Brilliant matters including but not limited to: microcredentials, intellectual property, conflict of interest, application for grants such as Mitacs E-Accelerate, Continuous Learning

Education:
- Completion of a University Program consisting of Four Academic Years or Equivalent
- Verification of Academic credentials may be required
Required Experience
- Over 3 years and including 5 years
- Experience coordinating technology based projects including software, application and/or web development projects.
- Experience working with students, faculty and alumni
- Experience with entrepreneurship programming and concepts
- Experience in entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Experience in university management environment and university student organizations
- Experience in working with industry and government partners
