Job description: We are in search of a determined Bilingual Senior Bookkeeper for our client. A demonstrated ability in overseeing cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full-cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close, will be critical to the success of this Full Charge Bookkeeper role. The clerical staff will be managed by the Bilingual Senior Bookkeeper. We are looking for accounting professionals who are accomplished and organized. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Ottawa, Ontario area.
Major responsibilities
– Generate cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees etc.
– Other distinguished projects when necessary
– Log budget transfers
– Govern monthly accounting close
– Formulate cash flow projections, as needed
– Knowledgeable in credit card management and reconciliation
– Formulate monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and all supporting documents
– Look after Accounts Payable
– Clarify business license and gross receipts
– Categorize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
– Lead Accounts Receivable
– Bilingual (French/English)
– Observant, accurate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
– Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
– Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
– Notable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
– Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
– Top-notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
– 2+ years of related experience- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
– BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
