Job description: Location: Mostly remote, but will sometimes be required to come to the office, located in Toronto, Ontario (Liberty Village)

The Green Party of Ontario (GPO) is currently hiring a full time Finance and Administrative Manager to manage our accounts payable and payroll, keep organized records, reconcile the books each month, help prepare our annual and campaign returns for audit, as well as provide assistance on other financial tasks as required

We are looking for a professional to join our small, dynamic team with enough experience to get started right away.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Major Tasks

Accounts payable

  • Manage payroll
  • Pay expenses

Manage QuickBooks and bank accounts

  • Ensure donations and expenses are recorded properly
  • Maintain records and ensure bank records are recorded properly in Quickbooks
  • Ensure bank reconciliation is kept up to date
  • Assist with reporting
  • Manage local association donation transfers
  • Manage contracts and HR documents

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with full-cycle accounting for a business or organization
  • Detailed oriented and demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Advance user in Quickbooks
  • Familiarity with Service Ontario and government business requirements
  • Bonus:
  • Interest in the Green Party and politics in Ontario
  • French (verbal and written)
