Status: Permanent, 1.0 FTE Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Salary Scale: $74,201 – $89,398 annualized salary plus benefits

Start Date: Immediately

Position Description:

The Oasis Nursing Team Leader is responsible for day to day supervision of the Oasis nursing and primary care teams, coordination of clinical (includes OAT, CTS) operational issues and quality assurance initiatives. The Nursing Team Leader works in conjunction with the Oasis and Centre wide Leadership team to ensure the smooth operation of integrated services where indicated.

Reporting Relationship:

As an employee of the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre, the incumbent is responsible to the Director of Oasis and through him/her to the Executive Director.

The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the licensing and regulatory requirements of the College of Nurses of Ontario as the professional governing body.

Requirements

Skills, Education and Experience:

Requirements for this position include:

Education and Language

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a recognized college or university
  • Certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Under the Centre’s designation to provide French Language Services, this position is designated bilingual preferred:

– French (oral expression): Advanced

– French (oral comprehension): Advanced

– French (reading comprehension): Intermediate +

– French (writing comprehension): Intermediate +

  • Fluency in English, both oral and written

Professional Experience

  • Three to five years clinical nursing experience in Community Health Centre setting
  • Three to five years supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Sound judgment

Hours of work will be developed in collaboration with the successful candidate to ensure a healthy work-life balance. A schedule of work will be based on the Centre’s hours of operation and program requirements.
