Scale/Grade: E006
Salary range: $33.56 – $48.05 PER HOUR (start rate determined in accordance with the collective agreement requirements)
Hours: 37.50 Hours/Week – Combination of 7.5 hour and 11.25 hour Days with varying start times
Status: Permanent Full Time
As a member of the UHN and the Joint Division of Medical Imaging (JDMI) Multi-disciplinary Team, the REGISTERED NURSE in Medical Imaging practices in accordance with relevant legislation/standards, meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the profession. The principal responsibilities include: applying knowledge of nursing science, theory, skill and critical decision making in the provision of compassionate, collaborative and competent care in accordance with the UHN Professional Practice Model for Nursing and the mission and vision of nursing at the UHN and JDMI; ensuring practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and UHN policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario Basic
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) certification
- Minimum of two (2) years recent critical care nursing experience, and/or experience working in critical assessment and resuscitation situations
- Venipuncture and I.V. insertion skills required
- Meets MRI safety guidelines and is able to work in an MRI environment
- Excellent interpersonal and decision making, organizational and time management skills
- Must be flexible and possess the ability to work effectively and efficiently within a variety of patient care teams
- Demonstrated evidence of on going education in nursing
- Must be able to work wearing lead apron/vest all day
- Previous Interventional Radiology experience preferred
- Completion of a recognized Critical Care certificate preferred
- ACLS certification an asset
- Computer literacy required
