Pay range: $64.00 – $70.00/hour
Job Description:
Local candidates only. Due to Covid, this position is currently remote (WFH). Later it will be on-site.
PURPOSE
Our client is seeking a risk-based business analyst to work on a risk modernization project, where he/she will be assisting Market Risk team with a complete front to back redesign of market risk calculation infrastructure. The Market Risk team works with various stakeholders (Front Office, Quant Groups, and IT teams) on this Trading Book Modernization (TBM) initiative. In particular, the incumbent’s core responsibilities are to contribute to the successful design, documentation, execution and governance of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Articulate specifications of various risk measures & attributes by analyzing risk engine outputs & existing risk reports
Work with Subject Matter Expert (SME) risk managers, quants, IT to acquire the risk engine knowledge & document its usage
Work with SMEs to standardize risk measures across various systems
Collaborate with relevant teams to track the planning and implementation of data sourcing, controls and integration
Work with stakeholders to write robust, efficient and maintainable product specifications
Test and Validate the risk measures & attributes, product classifications, and enhanced reports against existing benchmarks
Assist in design and Quality Assurance (QA) process of reporting & aggregation tools enhancements
Manage, coordinate and establish issue remediation
Develop a strong working relationship with project stakeholders. Staying abreast of evolving global financial market and regulatory standards to ensure the impact is understood and implemented as necessary
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of Market Risk management experience with strong analytical skills
Knowledge of Sophis or Murex is a plus
Strong knowledge in Financial Instruments and Derivatives Products (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Futures, Options, Swaps, Currencies) and associated Greeks
Experience working with IT & quant teams for automation and remediation
Strong data analysis skills, verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Excel, SQL
Working knowledge of Python & Tableau is a plus
Strong negotiation, oral and written communication skills
Experience writing and editing requirement documentation, project plans or end-user documents
Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries in a multi-stakeholder context
Autonomous & highly motivated with ability to multi-task productively and work independently and collaboratively
